Lauren’s Story

My name is Lauren Maher. Insta: LM_.equestrian & Trot_tastic.

I have a beautiful gelding named Romeo who is a rescue horse from the Echuca Auctions in 2009. I have now owned Romeo for 7 years. He is a dark bay, 15.2hh QH x, 17 yrs old.

I am a member of Berwick pony Club. My main goal for this year is to compete at Australia’s first 2020 bridless and Liberty Show in October. Before then I will be doing local dressage and CT competitions.

I started riding when I was 6 years old. I got my first lease pony when I was 11 years old, I then got Romeo when I was 12. I got another pony when, named Tyson when I was 14 years old who I learnt how to jump on and joined the Sporting Horse Australia team. He passed away from colic in 2017.

A bit about myself, I am a student nurse and work as a PCA for an Agency and nursing home, I also casually work at The Trading Stables. My future goal is to work as a Rural Nurse across Australia and see where that takes me.

I love taking photos at competitions and play the Trombone and Saxophone for the Casey concert band.
